  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups sliced apples
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar.
  3. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing until well combined.
  4. Press half of this mixture into the bottom of a prepared baking dish.
  5. In another bowl, toss the sliced apples with cinnamon and brown sugar. Spread them over the crust.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the apples, followed by the rolled oats.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
