  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1 cup chopped dark chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until browned. Let it cool.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the brown sugar and granulated sugar.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. Slowly pour in the browned butter, mixing until combined.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  8. Fold in the toffee bits and dark chocolate.
  9. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  11. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For added flavor, use freshly ground coffee in your cookie dough.
  • These cookies can also be made with milk chocolate if preferred.
