  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp chai spice mix
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup icing sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. Add in the softened butter and milk, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  5. Spread the chai spice mix and brown sugar evenly over the dough.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle with icing sugar mixed with a little milk.

Notes

  • For a stronger chai flavor, increase the amount of chai spice mix.
  • These rolls can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
