1 pound turkey bacon
1 cup diced onions
2 cups chopped carrots
2 cups diced potatoes
4 cups chicken broth
1 cup frozen peas
2 cups heavy cream
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons dried thyme
salt to taste

Instructions
In a large pot, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy.
Remove bacon and set aside, reserving drippings in the pot.
Add diced onions, carrots, and potatoes to the drippings, cooking until tender.
Stir in flour, and then slowly add chicken broth, stirring until smooth.
Add heavy cream, peas, thyme, salt, and pepper, letting simmer for 20 minutes.
Chop the bacon and stir it back into the soup before serving.
