  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk until smooth.
  6. In a separate small bowl, mix the cinnamon and brown sugar together.
  7. Pour half of the batter into a greased loaf pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  8. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  9. Bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before slicing.

  • This bread is best served warm with butter.
