  • 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 large carrots, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the beef chunks and brown on all sides.
  3. Stir in the onions and garlic and cook until softened.
  4. Mix in the paprika and caraway seeds.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Cook for about 1.5 hours, until the beef is tender.
  7. Add the carrots and bell pepper and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  8. Stir in the sour cream and Worcestershire sauce just before serving.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
