Dark Chocolate Mousse Cake

A rich, creamy dark chocolate mousse cake that’s easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces dark chocolate
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler.
  3. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt until thick and pale.
  5. Fold the melted chocolate into the egg mixture, then gently fold in the whipped cream.
  6. Pour the mixture into a cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes, then cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter cake, use milk chocolate instead.
