Easy Gingerbread Tiramisu

A delightful twist on the classic tiramisu, incorporating the warm flavors of gingerbread for a festive treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 cup gingerbread cookies, crushed
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whip until smooth.
  2. In a shallow dish, pour the cooled coffee.
  3. Dip the gingerbread cookies in the coffee quickly to avoid sogginess.
  4. Layer the cookies at the bottom of a serving dish.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the cookies.
  6. Add another layer of coffee-dipped cookies, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  8. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.

Notes

  • This dessert is best enjoyed chilled and allows flavors to meld together.
  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use espresso instead of brewed coffee.
