  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the black beans overnight in water.
  2. In a pot, cook turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and chop.
  3. Sauté onion and garlic in the bacon fat until softened.
  4. Add cumin and pepper, cook for another minute.
  5. Stir in soaked black beans and chicken broth.
