  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add in the yeast mixture, egg, and butter.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Shape the dough into buns and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Let the buns rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
